I was checking Population census shown at recent Ch4 Video “Fresh evidence” while I stumbled upon this Video.
I did the check because I became sceptic regarding some seeming facts that could not be ascertained.
The Census discrepancy shown I remembered was already trumpeted by a Christian Missionary whom I know as a Liar and propogandist- a Liberation theologist.
That was when I chanced this Video after checking how many did leave and how many survive?
We would be most relieved if what is shown in this video turns out to be the real truth.
Because I know from experience that the whole civil war was started with feeding on Outrage for July 1983 riots.

Chilling Channel 4 Film on Lankan War crimes, Rape mayhem and summary executions
Jon Snow presents a forensic investigation into the final weeks of the quarter-century-long civil war between the government of Sri Lanka and the secessionist rebels, the Tamil Tigers.
With disturbing and distressing descriptions and film of executions, atrocities and the shelling of civilians the programme features devastating new video evidence of war crimes – some of the most horrific footage Channel 4 has ever broadcast.
Captured on mobile phones, both by Tamils under attack and government soldiers as war trophies, the disturbing footage shows: the extra-judicial executions of prisoners; the aftermath of targeted shelling of civilian camps; and dead female Tamil fighters who appear to have been raped or sexually assaulted, abused and murdered.
The film is made and broadcast as UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon faces growing criticism for refusing to launch an investigation into ‘credible allegations’ that Sri Lankan forces committed war crimes during the closing weeks of the bloody conflict with the Tamil Tigers.
In April 2011, Ban Ki-moon published a report by a UN-appointed panel of experts, which concluded that as many as 40,000 people were killed in the final weeks of the war between the Tamil Tigers and government forces.
It called for the creation of an international mechanism to investigate alleged violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law committed by government forces and the Tamil Tigers during that time.
This film provides powerful evidence that will lend new urgency to the panel’s call for an international inquiry to be mounted, including harrowing interviews with eye-witnesses, new photographic stills, official Sri Lankan army video footage, and satellite imagery.
Also examined in the film are some of the horrific atrocities carried out by the Tamil Tigers, who used civilians as human shields.

The merciless deployment first by the Tamil tigers of civilians as human shield being admitted, hardly exonerates a well laid out and systematic targeting by Government troops of No-Fire Zone, the hospital areas and the making use of Co-Ordinates and locales of hospital zones to both sides, by the International Red cross itself, a carnage and massacre with just one aim behind-to break the will and morale of a people by sheer terror of their brutality.
For a mere thousand Arab protesters and civilians falling to Gaddafi’s forces, the West had air strikes and active intervention in place.

The Tamil separatists are yet to own up for the deployment of human shield and Fascist measures. Aronite thinking differs with the line taken by LTTE and its leadership and does not absolve their side of infraction of Human Rights. Having said that, the grisly record of the Sri Lanka in conducting this most shocking and barbaric violation of human lives and dignity, with a singular Militarist thrust of decimating a Rebel outfit, needs to be brought out. Together with the collusion of Indian state prompted not beyond questioning a personal vendetta of a leader for her slain husband, the most shameful conduct of self appointed and self proclaimed tamil leaders who had started this conflict course with a sinhalese majority based on seperatist tamil idenitity, and ditched them at a dire straits and a life and death situation, all needs be studied.
Further the future course of Elam tamils too must be redefined. It is presently poor in communication skills harping on the guerilla movement that had ended with so much loss, rather than on Human Rights that were thrown to the winds and the need to win back Tamils their legitimate rights and reasonable demands for self governance. This cannot be done, as long as old Fascist political culture is retained instead of a new beggining with a democratic orientation and peaceful means of struggle.

In May 2009, Sri Lanka’s decades long civil war with the Tamil Tigers, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam came to a bloody close after government forces launched a massive offensive.
What exactly happened during the last days of the battle is still the subject of fierce debate, but it is clear that as the rebel perimeter shrank, around a third of a million civilians were trapped between the two armies and tens of thousands were killed.
