Turkey’s military chiefs have all stepped down, including armed forces chief of staff Isik Kosaner.

The exact reason is not clear. But tensions between the government and armed forces have been high in recent years.

Inside Story – Turkey: A new political era?

We ask if the resignation of four top military commanders could mean the end of the military’s dominance in Turkey.

Aronite thinking is that-

Turkish Military views itself as the vanguard of Kamal Ataturk’s founding of modern Secular State of Turkey.

There has been increasing friction with political parties such as AKP that seeks to bring in Islamism backdoors.

This is a trend in general seen at Cairo where Islamists have effectively coupéd out Liberal elements and at Libya where General Abdel had been assassinated summarily that smacks of an insidious rise of Islamo-Fascist elements.

Jalil says al-Qaeda ‘not involved’ in Younes killing

From: AlJazeeraEnglish | Jul 30, 2011 | 1,383 views

Mustafa Abdel Jalil, the head of Libya’s rebel council, has denied the Libyan government’s allegation that al-Qaeda was involved in the death of the rebels’ top general.

Jalil says that Abdel Fattah Younes, the general in question, was killed by two unidentified gunmen, and that investigations are underway to determine their identities and motivations.

Abdel fatah Younes was shot dead by gunmen thought belong to hardline Islamist Rebel factions summarily

Are the Islamists waiting in the wings, stepping out of their closets dropping the facade of Arab uprising for liberty from oppressive regimes?

The cold blooded killing of a Libyan Rebel by alleged Islamist hardliner rebels and the simultaneous edging out of Liberal actvists and groups from Tahir square at Cairo may indeed portend such ominous dark clouds closing down the horizon-

that of Al Qaeda’s surfacing casting away its mask from midst the crowds, what was perhaps deliberately presented as a Civil Uprising was indeed a Pan-Islamist Uprising ?

Libyan rebel commander buried amid questions

Hundreds of mourners chanting and firing guns into the air turned out to Benghazi’s al-Hawari cemetary to bury Abdel Fatah Younes on Friday. The commander of the rebel armed forces in Libya was killed on Thursday after being summoned to appear before a judicial inquiry in the opposition capital.

Rumours and theories are flying over Younes’s death. Ali Tarhouni, the opposition oil minister, has said that rebel fighters sent to bring Younes back from the front for the inquiry took justice into their own hands and gunned him and two aides down.

Some suspect the gunmen were religious extremists who had grievances against Younes for his decades-long role as Muammar Gaddafi’s interior minister, during which he played a role in repressing conservative, anti-goverment Islamic groups.

Clash of ideologies mars Cairo protests

From: AlJazeeraEnglish | Jul 29, 2011 | 3,495 views

Friday was meant to symbolise a day of unity in Egypt’s Tahrir Square. Instead, it turned into a show of disunity between the country’s different political groups.

Liberals opted out of the protests, accusing the Islamic parties of betrayal, and of hijacking their revolution.

While the speeches in Tahrir Square talked of solidarity with the Liberals, the views of some in the crowd were far from moderate.

Norway massacre suspect ‘admits attacks’

From: Euronews | Jul 24, 2011 | 308 views

The far-right activist suspected of carrying out Friday’s terror attacks in Norway will appear in court on Monday after admitting responsibility.

Anders Behring Breivik’s lawyer Geir Lippestad said his client would offer more information at the custody hearing.

“He believed his actions were atrocious but in his head they were necessary,” Lippestad said.

Breivik has been charged with both the bombing in central Oslo and the Utoeya island shooting.

The court will decide whether to keep the 32-year-old suspect in detention pending trial.

Aronite thinking is that-

Political Correctness and Leftist provocations must now take a breather to introspect.

Madness seems to have occurred among the silent majority.

Rhetorical tirades against Right wing and endless apologia and soft stepping around Islamist drive to islamise their habitat, seems to have driven at last one unhinged activist over the edge.

Denial of debate space, and regular swings and daily bashing against even those with legitimate concerns about Islamisation, we believe breeds desperation and their suppressed voices escape into a nihilist space that resorts to desperate and dire acts as this mass carnage of youth at Yosolo.

Instead of this becoming a wakeup call- the Leftist dominated media around the world has gone on overdrive, bashing and insinuating Christian Fundamentalism and Right wing as a whole.

When Jihadist avowedly declares their spring board of Terror acts to be that of Islamic doctrines themselves- this same tribe had been over eager to stress the Delink between real Islam and the hijacked version.

Never the less Terror strikes had become invariably conducted by people belonging to Islamist ideation that even this strike couldn’t be at first ascertained for sure- as not by yet another Islamist group.

We do not expect the same courtesy of decoupling identity with ideology that is however a given at descriptions of Terror strikes by Islamises when an isolated and most shocking incident turns out to be from an alleged ‘Christian Right winger and anti-Muslim’.

This is not deny the capacity for inhumane and cold blooded mass killings by Christian Fundamentalism- which isn’t new to Europe, that has jasanovac concentration camps setup by the Theo-fascist State of Ustash run by catholic clergy.

Protestant fundamentalism enabled Hitler’s anti-Semitism thanks to Martin Luther’s visceral hatred for Jew. Holocaust is not out of line with Europe’s historic anti-Semitism.

But this wakeup call can be ignored at one own’s peril.

There is helplessness, and desperation growing among not just a handful few at the growing Islamist extremism and militancy.

This forebodes a graver momentum- a mirroring as a response to this ideological challenge.

It’s time to come out of the closet and repetitious denial of global Islamism and its advances, and mindless rants against its critics.

The debate must now be held out in the open and without Bowdlerization and insensitive demonization.

That alone will defuse such psychopathological tension building that is clear had triggered the fuse at Oslo and Yoselo.

Our heart goes out to the parents and kith of the slain youth at Yoselo camp and those who were sadly and so suddenly slain at Oslo.
